Dear
Quarterbackers:
I am
sure I speak for most, if not all of you in saying that I could not be prouder
of a group of young men than those that wore the T on their helmets in
Gainesville Florida
yesterday.
There
are no such things as moral victories, but no one was embarrassed by the outcome
and no one could have possibly asked any more from our guys. They laid in all on
the line and also laid a foundation in which to build on. I am excited about
where we are going!
I am
also excited about our speaker tomorrow at Calhouns on the River. Mike Gottfried
(please see his profile on www.knoxqbclub.com) has spoke at our club
numerous times, but it is always a real treat to have him back. The former
Pittsburgh Panther coach and ESPN commentator has deep insights into the college
game both on and off the field. Not as well known, is the sacrificial giving of
his time and resources to help young men who need guidance and someone to
believe in them. He is truly one of the great men of the game of
football.
We
will celebrate our weekly high school players of the week, along with a
yesterday’s hero and official of the week.
Calhouns, starting at noon (come early to get good
parking). Hope to see you there.
