Knoxville Quarterback Club

September 28th Newsletter

Dear Quarterbackers:

Our club is made up of very special members;  all of whom love Tennessee football and the institution of the University of Tennessee. My weekly newsletter is my way of reminding everyone about our meetings on Monday at Calhouns on the River, who will be speaking that particular day and sometimes I try to offer some humor, insights or material that may not be found in the newspaper or other local media. What I will not do is offer criticism of the players, coaches or anyone else involved with the program. It is simply not my place to do so and if one wants, those forums are readily available in many other settings. Our club is for the celebration of the local football scene, anchored by the Vols.

With that said, we are all disappointed in the season thus far, but no one more so than the players and coaches that we celebrate. Tomorrow, we have our new offensive coordinator, Dave Clawson as our guest speaker. We should provide a safe place for him to fellowship with the best of the best fans in America. No one with orange blood is wagging their tails right now, but we must strive to continue to improve and make the best of the rest of the season. That is all we can do!

Saturday night my wife Laura told me that the sun would come up Sunday morning and that God would provide us a new day. She was right and it happened to be a glorious masterpiece! While the team takes one game at a time, I choose to take one day at a time and enjoy the blessings we have. Let’s keep our heads up!

Please visit our website at www.knoxqbclub.com. You will see the high school players of the week, along with Yesterday’s Hero (Charles Rosenfelder this week) and a bio on our guest speaker.

11:30am at Calhouns on the River!

It is Great to be a Tennessee Vol!
